We’ve been hearing and feeling it everywhere we turn – we are in unprecedented times.
I know I speak for all of us at AI Dynamics when I say we are incredibly grateful for the essential workers and those who are sacrificing to help keep us all safe and healthy. For many of us who aren’t on the front lines, while we may feel a new kind of stress, we are certainly incredibly lucky to have the ability to work from home full-time and provide for ourselves and our families and we know too many people aren’t as fortunate.
But this new norm is creating a void and most of us haven’t seen our families, friends, or colleagues in person in quite some time.
And while we are all adjusting to our new virtual offices, getting creative with our Zoom backgrounds, and navigating Friday afternoon ‘happy hours’, I’ve found it’s still been a challenge to have casual and impromptu conversations that seem to only happen in the office. For me, it’s those ‘drive-by’ desk conversations that are often where I learn the most about what we are up to as a company and what makes my co-workers tick.
So, I’ve been connecting with folks 1:1 virtually and decided to invite you along for the ride. We are calling the new series ‘What’s New with AI Dynamics’ where I’ll be jumping on Zoom with my teammates over the next few months while we are all remote to get to know them a little better and hear about what they are up to.
Who knows, we may even keep it going even once we are back to ‘normal’– you’ll have to let us know what you think.
Today, I caught up with Ryan Monsurate, our CTO. Interestingly, Ryan and I have really only seen each other in person a handful of times as he sits in our Vancouver, BC office so I really value opportunities like this to catch up and learn more about him.
